One of The Darkness first awards was a Metal Hammer Golden God award. they won a "Screw Avril, This Is what I call a Proper song" for Best Single(Get your Hands off My Woman)

At The Kerrang! awards 2003, The Darkness scraped 2 awards- Best Live Act(which Justin wanted) and Best Album(which Dan wanted!) therefore both brothers were prettu chuffed! They were up for best video but sadly did not win it. One winning Justin thanked The Darklings. How long until Dan starts thanking the Danlings I wonder? 

The darkness then got a MTV2 Music award- Best UK and Irish act. The awards ceremony was held in my hometown- Edinburgh, Scotland, but sadly I could not attend. Still nice to know they were in a 5 mile radius of me!

Then they won an Elle Style Award- Most Stylish act.

The of course, came the Brit awards 2004, which personally I think is one of the biggest highlights of their career. They picked up 3- Best British Group, Best British Rock Act, and the biggie- Best British Album. They then wrapped with a performence of IBIATCL and Growing On Me.

The Darkness then won an Ivor Norvello award-Song Writers of The Year, which Justin sportingly dedicated to 'Song Writers Everywhere!'

And then, yet again, The Darkness won another Metal Hammer Golden Gods Award. They picked up Best video(for LIOAF) but could not attend the ceremony as they were touring the US of A.

Then they won another 2 Kerrang! awards- Best British band and Best Live Act

The Darkness then won a Tartan Clef award(Yes it was Scottish-hurrah!) for Best British Live Act. Dan and Frankie both attended, and I only found out about this a day afterwards, as well as being told in which hotel they were at. Just my luck huh?
